Twilight's futuristic sisters head for big screen

The vampire world's J K Rowling, Stephanie Meyer, is well on her to further success and riches as her sci-fi novel The Host is set to join her Twilight series in getting the big screen treatment. To be directed by Andres Niccol who directed the ultra stylish and haunting film Gattica, The Host is billed as a love triangle featuring two bodies. Set in the near future in which Earth has been overrun by alien body-snatchers, one of their number is fused with a dying women in an attempt to track down the last remaining human resistance. Complications arise when the hybrid alien starts falling in love with the host woman's missing boyfriend.
The next instalment in the Twilight saga, New Moon, opens in UK and US cinemas on 20 November.
