Maylene and The Songs Of Disaster ... Announce Musical Debut on The WWE!
Recently, when Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster came through New York, one of the band's many interviews that day was with the WWE. We thought, "Man, that is badass!" but also wondered, "What could this be for? Where will this air? Say what?!" Well, at long last all of our questions have been answered.
It turns out the amazing folks at WWE are huge fans of our friends in Maylene, and have chosen their hit single, "Step Up (I'm On It)," as the official theme song for their upcomingWWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per View Special! And that's not all! The same song has been chosen to run in the background of the new WWE video game, WWE Smackdown vs. RAW 2010 (you may have even seen this commercial as it's already hit the airwaves).
Not bad right? But there's still more! Maylene has also been tapped to record a brand new song, exclusively for the WWE to be used as the WWE Superstar Entrance Theme Music for the Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show and Chris Jericho, entitled, "Crank The Walls Down."
Wow. This is possibly the coolest thing ever, and to break it all down for you, we've included a few quick bullet-points so you can see just how awesome this really is:
* “Step Up (I'm On It)" is currently featured on WWE programming as the Official Theme Song for the WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View. The song is used in all promotional spots related to the Pay Per View leading up to the Pay Per View throughout the promotional period, 10/5-11/1/09.
WWE Music Group continues to partner with top recording artists on similar Pay-Per-View Theme Song promotions including AC/DC, Metallica, U2, Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Guns N' Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Dog, Daughtry, Ozzy Osbourne, Peter Gabriel, Motorhead, Buckcherry, The Hives, Shinedown, Rise Against, Sick Puppies, Skillet, Kevin Rudolf and many others.
* "Step Up..." can also be heard in promotional spots for WWE's new videogame (developed by THQ), WWE Smack Down vs. RAW 2010, airing on WWE programming and across various networks as commercials.
