Manson murder family member Susan Atkins dies
America's longest serving female prisoner, Susan Atkins, has died in prison of brain cancer. Atkins was one of the murderers of Sharon Tate (wife of film director Roman Polanski) who was eight months pregnant when Manson's disciples decended on her home, killing her and four other people there. Atkin's also wrote the word 'PIG' on the wall with Tate's blood before leaving.
