FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH & SHADOWS FALL LOCK HORNS FOR UK TOUR…
US HEAVYWEIGHTS CONFIRM CO-HEADLINE ‘SHOCK AND RAW!’ SHOWS FOR NOVEMBER 2009
TWO OF America’s premier hard rock acts will embark on a series of UK dates together in November 2009.
Five Finger Death Punch
& Shadows Fall – both with new studio albums set for
release in September – have confirmed a series of UK dates, starting in Wolverhampton
on November 24th and running through to the 30th, taking
in six shows along the way
Prior to this, the two acts will be heading out on Five Finger Death Punch’s headline ‘SHOCK AND RAW’ tour in the US and Canada, along with special guests Otep & 2 Cents.
‘War Is The Answer’ - the second Five Finger Death Punch album, the follow-up to last year’s ‘The Way Of The Fist’, a 400,000-seller worldwide - is now confirmed for release on September 21st via Spinefarm Records UK. Comprising of 13 brand new tracks, including first single/video “Hard To See”, lead Myspace stream “Bulletproof” plus “Bad Company” (a cover of the 1974 classic originally recorded by the UK band of the same name), the album was jointly helmed by 5FDP and award-winning producer Kevin Churko (Ozzy Osbourne) and mixed by the legendary Randy Staub (Metallica, Stone Sour).
“Hard To See”, already available as a digital single, will be released as a limited edition white vinyl 7” on September 7th. Only 1000 copies will be manufactured, and all will be numbered by hand; the sleeve for this record has been specially designed by 5FDP mainman Zoltan Bathory.
Meanwhile, the new/sixth Shadows Fall album, ‘Retribution’, will be released on September 14th on the band’s own Everblack Industries label in conjunction with Spinefarm Records UK; a 10-track outing, recorded in the main by regular producer/mixer Zeuss, it features lead song “King Of Nothing” (with Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe guesting on vocals), video track “Still I Rise” plus seven-minute opus “My Demise”, and is generally being hailed as the finest Shadows Fall album to date.
“Still I Rise” and “King Of Nothing” will be released as a digital single on August 31st, complete with an exclusive digital booklet.
The Five Finger Death Punch / Shadows Fall UK tour is now on sale. An opening act will be added to the bill.
