Anyone now in their dotage may just remember a children's show called the Banana Splits that exploded onto television screens sometime in
late 1968. It began with a catchy bubblegum pop signature tune and featured four costumed presenters, Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper and Snorky, who were scarier than Slipknot. Produced by Hanna-Barbera and featuring the Banana Splits as a kind of insane Monkees / Beatles type of band who get into adventures and mixed with a lots of cartoons the Banana Splits shows were a must see for any subversive 8 year olds and now the whole complete season 1 is being released on TV. Prepare to be 8 all over again!
